To his Excelency [Excellency] the Govenor [Governor] Sir
I wrote you A few lines some time ago informing you we were Ready for Action and if our services were needed that we were willing to march at any time if they are not needed we want to no [know] it for as I stated before the most of us are Labouring [Laboring] men and want to noe [know] how to meet our Innsirginceys [Insurgencies] further I am autherised [authorised] by the company to say to you that they are not going Down into Florida in the sumer [summer] season for they say that they had Rather go & fight the Indians all winter than to march from here and stay there in the sumer [summer] season and Do nothing so if our services are needed we are willing to serve our Country and would like to noe [know] it as early as practicable, and alsoe noe [also know] about the Request in the federal union about [deleted text: our ] Requestin [deleted text: g ] [added text: ts ] our company to Rendesvouse [Rendezvous] at Columbus which has Rendered mutch [much] inconvenience to several of our company you will be soe [so] good as to give us information immediately upon the Recept [Receipt] of this in haste
