- This is a letter from Robert G. Guerard to Wilson Lumpkin, Governor of Georgia (1831-1835), dated June 14, 1832. Guerard indicates that he is transmitting by Timothy Barnard an action taken with regard to the gold region and land lotteries, pursuant to acts of the state assembly that added Cherokee territory within the state, including valuable gold deposits, to a number of Georgia counties.
