September 6th, 1813
Sir,
I take the liberty of informing you that the People on the frontyears [frontiers] of this county considers themselves in some danger, believing that the creeks Will if our troops fall on them Seek revenge on our frontiers, I think it [added text: woud [would] ] be Well to have one hundred Stand of Arms on our frontiers, I woud [would] take it as a favour [favor] if you Woud [Would] Send me Word Wheather [Whether] you can let Us have them. if you can [deleted text: d ] I will let my Waggon [Wagon] come down after them if you cannot let us have that Quantity We Will be thankful for fifty stand please let me know by the first oppertunity [opportunity] and oblige
