Talk from the White Bird King in answer to Mr. Ellicot's talk delivered
Eigth [Eight] November 1791at Rock Landing

He has a Talk which he is going to give, since the runners from the nation have come down and the Talks they brought delivered he sees every thing is straight-
He has been with you and eat with you and drank with you him and his People and everything is in peace and plenty --
He Saw General Washington, General Knox and General McGillivery all together and their Talks were all Straight
The Nation takes their Talks and no others. They all consented to take their talks and did so until Mr. Bowles came among them and he had Spoiled the Talks. This he has from his poeple [people] and his Warriors who have come down he should have know about it had he been in the Nation at the time --
He expects that what General Washington told him will prove true, that places would be fixed upon on this side the river for the Indians to and trade at, Swap their horse for goods have their guns &c [et cetera] repaired and he yet expects this will be the case.
He hopes we are all at peace at this time that there is no blood to be Spilt on either side as he take you by the hand himself and all his people --
The [unclear text: Mole ] has brought down the Talk from Bowles confesses he did bring it from Bowles, but he is better pleased with your talks than Bowles's and he hopes there was no harm done by him in bringing the Letter --
