A Talk from the Kings Beloved men and Warriors of the Lower Creek Nation Present the head men and principle warriors, of ten Towns the Fatt King, Chosen thire [their] Speacer [Speaker] --

He Saw my talks and was glad that I have brought them my Self, he could not give an answer untill [until] he had, consulted the head men of the other Towns he is verey [very] glad to Se [see] his old friend -- hear [here], to talk to them, that they might give anaswer [answer], for the Lower Towns as they allways [always], ment [meant] good, tallks [talks] and Diners [Dinners] to be at peace with Each other, allthough [although] thire [there] has ben [been] some bad people amongst them they Still remember thire [their] friendly talks, which we had togeather [together] at Ogeechey in perticular [particular], when the Line of the Land was Desired to be marked, [deleted text: [illegible text] ], we thire [there] agreed that whenever we Saw a white man to hold out our hand to him use him well and give him [unclear text: Vientlss [Vittles] ] this we agreed, uppon [upon] for the benifet [benefit] of our woman and -- Children, Since that thire [there] has ben [Been] Great -- Disturbances which my friend heard on his way but he is got up saffe [safe] and is know [now] in my Square with the Govnr. [Governor] and beloved, mens tallks [talks] which we have heard, and we know [now] an answer that you and the Rest of the Beloved men may se [see] it your Beloved man you have sent is Saffe [Safe], and will have an answer from the whole Nations when we meet in the upper towns as we cannot Settle [deleted text: [illegible text] ] any perticular [particular] untill [until] we meet the head men of the upper towns as they are the people that must Settle the Matters as to what mischief [added text (appears to be in different ink): was ] don [done] [illegible text] [added text (appears to be in different ink): on ] this River, ment [meant] nothing but peace in that Respect, but as your Beloved man is a going [going] to the upper towns, he will be fulley [fully] Satisfied affter [after] talking with them and he will hear what they Say and Determine uppon [upon], and then you will hear the tallks [talks] of the whole Nation and we --

hope that they will Settle maters [matters] and Ever thing [everything] Streight [Straight] for the benefit of all our women and Children that we may live long in peace and friendship together as in Regard to the property that has ben [been] Stolen, it has ben [been] against the will of the head men as they are allways [always] giving out-talks against any Such thing being don [done] in this Lower Towns but they Cannot help the mad people that affter [after] hearing thire [their] talks will go out into the woods, on pertence [pretense] of hunting and from that steall [steal] and and bring in creatures but what has ben [been] brought hear [here] Shall be geathered [gathered] and sent down with our Next tallk [talk], as they are Scatred [Scattered] and could not be gott [got] together, to be Sent [deleted text: by ] with this as your Beloved man has Sent you [added text: Letter ] [deleted text: [unclear text: talk ] ] before this in consequence of two Indians that has ben [been] killed, we wate [wait] to hear your answer and as he is a going [going] further to hear the the [the] tallks [talks] in the upper towns then he will have his full answer and be able to Send you a full acct [account] of the whole we this River and flint River have don [done] Nothing for to Settle what has ben [been] don [done] is by the upper Creek [deleted text: Creeks ] Towns and the [illegible text] Settle as we hear [here] mean Nothing but peace and friend Ship [friendship]
