the 25 October 1786
Gentlemen
the Tallecee King got me to rite [write] you. and says that he allways [always] was a frend [friend] to the Amaricans; and is Sorry to think that they woud [would] not beleve [believe] what he Says. he Says likewise that he is [unclear text: Short ] of Satisfaction for the people kild [killed] on the [unclear text: Oconee ] and is Determend [Determined] to have it and he is Sorry that they woud [would] Demand any of his people here as the [they] are all frends [friends] and that he is Determend [Determined] on Satisfaction if the Amaricans Chuse [Choose] to

Send any one up with them or after to See it Dun [Done] the better as the Amaricans will be satisfyd [Satisfied] if there is any one to See the murders [murderers] kild [killed] he likewise begs that you wont [deleted text: [illegible text] ] Stop any of his people as Satisfaction Shall be given amedently [immediately] and he is Determend [Determined] to make the grants of land good what he has given up; I will be glad that you will be so good as to Send me answer
