Sir
Opposite to Harris [illegible text] Mills on [unclear text: horse ] Creek in this County. a certain George [unclear text: Braxton ] & William Stephens together with their families have removed to the Indian side of the Ocmulgee River, & are making preparations to make a crop there the ensuing Summer, I thought it advisable to apprize [apprise] your Excellency of this proceeding as I am of opinion, the friendly part of the Indians cannot like it. -- if the said persons are not ordered away there are [unclear text: enough ]

who I presume will before many months take the example, I wish as soon as possible to hear from your Excellency on the Occasion, should it be your pleasure to take them back, it can easily be done for they and not exceeding four miles from Fort McIntosh in said County. direct your orders to Hadleys post office Montgomery County & the earliest attention will be paid.
