- This is a receipt dated February 10, 1807 for the transportation of the Cherokee and Choctaw annuities, which probably consisted of provisions and various utensils. The payments were made by United States agent Levi Sheftall to someone identified only as A. B. (possibly Captain A.B. Armistead, commander at the U.S. army garrison on Hiwassee River). A note on the receipt indicates it that it was completed in triplicate.
