- This document is a land grant, including a hand drawn map and survey report, for a plot in Rabun County, Georgia granted to Elizabeth Jones of Richmond County, Georgia on November 7, 1822. The land was acquired by the state of Georgia through acts passed in the state assembly pursuant to numerous treaties, namely, the Treaty of Fort Jackson with the Creeks (1814), the Treaty of the Cherokee Agency with the Cherokees (1817), the Treaty of the Creek Agency with the Creeks (1818), and the Treaty of Washington with the Cherokees (1819).
