March 15th 1785
The Board having taken into consideration, An Act passed the 22nd. February last. intitled [entitled] an "Act to amend and alter some parts, and repeal other parts, of the several Land Acts in this State." Do in pursuance thereof Resolved, That the Honorable Major General McIntosh, Colo. Elijah Clarke and Colonel Hawkins, be, and they are hereby appointed Commissioners on the side and in behalf of this State, for the purposes particularly pointed out by the said recited Act.
Ordered, That his Honor the Governor do as soon as convenient, employ & send a proper person with a talk to the Creek Nation, inviting them to appoint persons on their side and in behalf of their Nation, and at the same time to request that they will fix the time and place for the meeting of the said Commissioners on both sides, in order to ascertain & determine the Line between the White people & the Indians of this State
