- Calhoun, 1905. Home of Oliver Newton Starr (1854-1922) built in 1887 and located at 416 College Street with members of the family seen in front. Mr. Starr had a law practice and became president of the Calhoun National Bank in 1907. He served in both the senate and house of the Georgia General Assembly representing Gordon County. Left to right: Mrs. Starr, James H., Mr. Starr, Trammell, Harlan Starr. The home was demolished in 1950 and the home of Thomas J. Brown, Sr. now occupies this site.
