- Crane Eater, early 1900s. This residence served as a summer home for Joseph Emerson Brown family in the 1870s. It was located on the Coosawattee River east of Calhoun. Crane Eater was the early name of the town of Red Bud. Brown had served as Governor of Georgia 1857-1865. Later Columbus L. "Lum" Moss owned the home and the farm that went with it. The home was demolished in 1974.
