- Mary Ann (Lamar) Cobb (1818-1889) was the daughter of Col. Zachariah Lamar and Mary Ann Robinson of Milledgeville, Georgia. She married Howell Cobb in 1835. They had eleven children: John Addison Cobb, II (b. 1838); Lamar Cobb (1839-1907); Howell Cobb, Jr. (1842-1909); Henry Jackson Cobb (1844-1848); Basil Lamar Cobb (1846-1847); Mary Ann Lamar Cobb (1850-1930); Laura Rootes Cobb (1851-1852); Sarah M. Cobb (1854-1930); Andrew Jackson Cobb (1857-1925); Elizabeth Craig Cobb (1859-1870); and Thomas Reade Rootes Cobb (1861-1863).
