- This folder contains a copy of Civil War Times Illustrated, February 1964, with the published version of James Dunwoody Jones' memoir, "The Departure and Return of Peace".
James Dunwoody Jones was born May 1, 1842 and died on February 21, 1904. He married Mary Cornelia Ashley on November 2, 1870 and they had 9 children. James Dunwoody Jones served as an Officer for the Confederacy during the American Civil War and was made 2nd Lieutenant Drill Master for the C.S.A. on November 7, 1862. Jones served as Drill Master at Andersonville Prison.
