- This collection contains a pardon issued by President Andrew Johnson to Jacob Waldburg on 29 August, 1865 for his service to the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. In this pardon, Waldburg is asked to agree to certain terms including taking the loyalty oath to the United States, not take on any slaves or use slave labor, and agree in writing to all the terms of this pardon. Also included is Waldburg's acknowledgement of the President's pardon, which he signed on 12 December 1865.
Jacob Waldburg resided in Savannah, Georgia and served with the Confederate States of America Army during the Civil War.
