- This collection consists of a letter from J.M. McNeel to his brother, dated 1864, in which he gives advice to his brother as to what Army detail to join and comments on Army life and various details.
John M. McNeel enlisted as a private in Company H of the 63rd Georgia Infantry on September 30, 1863. He died in McRae, Georgia, on March 13, 1879.
