- This collection consist of four documents relating to the military career of William E. Brock. Included are military appointments, commissions and special orders, and his physicians license from the Physician Board of Georgia.

William E. Brock, a Georgia resident, was a doctor educated at the University of Nashville before the Civil War. During the war, he served as captain of Company K, 10th Regiment of the Georgia State Troops in the Army of the Tennessee of the Confederate Army beginning December 16, 1861. He mustered out in May 1862 and was elected captain of Company F, 34th Regiment of the Georgia Infantry on May 17, 1862 and was appointed to be the regimental surgeon on January 7, 1863. He surrendered at Greensboro, North Carolina, on April 26, 1865. Additional biographical information about William E. Brock has not been determined.
