Two story wood frame house with a hipped roof and a balcony over the entrance, featuring a two-story portico supported by six heroic Doric columns on stone pedestals. The house was built by Robert P. James. The Greek Revival porch was added in 1850 by Willis Willingham. A stairway on the porch to the balcony has been added more recently. The porch is enclosed by an intricate iron railing, and a sheaf-of-wheat railing adorns the balcony. For more information see Linley, John. The Georgia Catalog: Historic American Buildings Survey.
