Side view. The two-story wood frame Transitional Federal house on a foundation of brick, features a wide balcony above the entrance. The two-story portico is supported by two fluted Ionic columns. Both entrance and balcony doors feature fanlights. The house was moved and turned around to face the rear street where its back fence once stood. The house was restored by Miss Hallie Smith. It is called The Cedars because of a curved driveway lined by cedars. Gardens were laid out by Irish Gardner, Patrick Cane. The house features a wide central hall with circular stairway.
