Text of marker: "Major General James E. Livingston United States Marine Corps Graduate of Lumber City High School 1957 MEDAL OF HONOR RECIPIENT. For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty in action against enemy forces on 2 May 1968 in the Republic of Vietnam.
