UpperChattahoochee Soiland Water Conservation District
Annual ReportFY 2012
The supervisors of the Upper Chattahoochee Soil and Water Conservation District met a total of 12 times in regular session during the fiscal year. Ridings served as Chairman, Frady served as Vice-Chairman, Beasley served as 2"d Vice-Chair, Lyons served as Treasurer, and Rev. Joe Vernon served as Chaplin. The District held their Annual Affiliate Member Meeting on November 10, 2011 at the White County Ag Center in Cleveland, Georgia. A catered meal was served and approximately 150 were in attendance. The District held their Annual Christmas Meeting on December 8, 2011 at Baby Land General Hospital in Cleveland, Georgia. A catered meal was served and approximately 30 were in attendance. The District ratified 567 erosion sedimentation and pollution control plans. The District ordered and distributed rain gauges. The District supp01ted the Chattahoochee-Chestatee RC&D projects throughout the year. The District held their Annual Supervisor/Ministers Meeting. The District supported the Mudd Creek 319 Project. The District participated in local EQIP workgroup meetings. The District paid the Blue Ridge SWCD for bus transportation of students to the Natural Resource Conservation District. The District managed issues with several of its watershed dams.
