The Lincoln County Soil and Water Conservation District is located in Lincolnton, Georgia and is a single county district.
The supervisors are: Olin Reed (Chairman); Curry Hogan (ViceChairman/Treasurer); Leroy Bufford (Chaplain); Stanton Tankersley (Secretary) and Marcus Matthews.
The Board met a total of nine (9) times in regular session with 100% attendance at all meetings.
The supervisors are in full support of the state/county's Erosion and Sedimentation Pollution Control Programs.
They ordered and distributed 200 First Aid Kits at the Lincoln/Wilkes Farm Safety Camp on June 5, 2012.
Two (2) students were able to attend the Natural Resources Conservation Workshop in Tifton, Georgia on sponsorship of the district.
Soil and Water Stewardship materials were ordered and distributed throughout the county to fourth and fifth graders.
The No-till drill is continuing to be rented and they also support the Central Savannah River RC&D and FSA activities in the county.
The supervisors also reviewed and reentered into the Cooperative Working Agreement between the District and NRCS.
