Hall County Soil and Water Conservation District
Annual Report FY 2013
The supervisors of the Hall County Soil and Water Conservation District met a total of 10 times in regular session during the fiscal year with 100% attendance. Mike Haynes served as Chairman, Larry Nix serving as Treasurer and Rev. Mark Spence as Chaplin.
The District held their Annual Affiliate Member Meeting on October 9, 2012 at the Chicopee Woods Center. A catered meal was served and approximately 180 people were in attendance. Kabe Cain was given the Farm Family of the Year Award. Ag Georgia Farm Credit was given the Supporter of the District Award. Governor Nathan Deal was the keynote speaker.
The District held their Annual Christmas Dinner on December 10, 2012 at the Jaemor Farm Market Barn in Alto, Georgia. A catered meal was served and approximately 60 people were in attendance.
The District reviewed and ratified 35 erosion sedimentation and pollution control plans.
The District supported the Mud Creek 319 and Coldwater Creek 319 Projects.
The District sponsored Ag Day on 5/1/2013.
The District purchased Ladies Auxiliary Tickets.
The District ordered and distributed Soil Stewardship material to local schools and churches.
The District awarded a scholarship to a Hall County student.
Supervisor Jane Hemmer received her 20 year service pin and Mike Haynes received his 30 year pin.
The District set EQIP priorities rankings for the current year.
The District ordered plaques to honor its 30 year affiliate members.
