Annual Report FY2011
The supervisors of the Hall County Soil and Water Conservation District met a total of 10 times in regular session during the fiscal year with 100% attendance. Mike Haynes served as Chairman, Larry Nix serving as Treasurer and Rev. Mark Spence as Chaplin.
The District held their Annual Affiliate Member Meeting on October 13, 2011 at the Chicopee Woods Center. A catered meal was served and approximately 185 people were in attendance. District supervisor Gene Anderson presented the district scholarships and Farm Family of the Year honors.
The District held their Annual Christmas Dinner on December 15, 2011 at the Jaemor Farm Market Bam in Alto, Georgia. A catered meal was served and approximately 50 people were in attendance.
The District reviewed and ratified 37 erosion sedimentation and pollution control plans.
The District bought a table for the Ag Forecast luncheon on January 26, 2012.
The District sponsored a table at the Ag Day Breakfast on March 29, 2012.
The District bought tickets for the Ladies Auxiliary Club.
The District donated to support GACDS for The GACDS Annual meeting.
The District co-sponsored AG Day at Sugar Hill Elementary School on May 9, 2012.
The District ordered and distributed Soil Stewardship material to local schools and churches.
The District sponsored a NACD poster Contest and sponsored the winners at the GACDS awards luncheon.
The District awarded a scholarship to Kendall Tuck.
