EXPLANATION AND NOTES ON THE GEORGIA MILLAGE RATE MANUAL FOR 1995
Millage rates applicable to each tax district in the State, where obtainable, have been prepared and listed. These tax districts and rates are listed alphabetically by county.
All rates are expressed in dollars per thousand. To determine the amount of tax due on a particular vehicle; determine the assessed value; the county where the tax is due; the appropriate tax district in the county; and multiply the millage rate by the assessed value. The following mill rates were obtained for calendar year 1994 and are available for use in taxing motor vehicles as well as mobile homes owned as of January l, 1995. In districts where no tax rates were certified, at the time of the printing of this manual, it is blank.
