The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) creates a safer Georgia by effectively managing offenders and providing opportunities for positive change. GDC has one of the largest prison systems in the United States and is responsible for supervising nearly 52,000 state prisoners within 34 state prisons, 21 county prisons, and four
private prisons. It is the largest law enforcement agency in the state with approximately 10,500 employees.

BURRUSS CORRECTIONAL TRAINING CENTER (CTC)
Located in Forsyth, Georgia, Burruss CTC opened in 1986 with 300 adult male offenders. Now, Burruss has a physical capacity to house a total of 808 offenders. Capacity includes housing for 98 juveniles sentenced as adults between 14 and 16 years of age, as well as At-Risk Youth offenders between 17 and 21 years of age.

The office will provide support and resources, such as Business, Engineering, Human Resources, Training, Investigations, and Audits
ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
Business Office has the responsibility of administering the budget for the facility
Facility provides laundry services to the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC)
Facility offers maintenance support to the Care & Custody warehouse
