A fee of $ 1.00 per horse per day wi ll be charged fo r

day-use of horse trails and exercise rin gs; this fee cove rs

the period from 7:00 a.m . until sundown. Stable fees

facility ma intenance) will be an add iti ona l $2.00 per

horse per day. This tee covers a 24-hour period starting at

noo n one day and ending at noon the fo ll owing day. A

horse may be stabled before noon at no additional cost if

a sta ll is available. A receipt will be issued upon payment

of use fees. and it should be in the possession of the

horseman at all times.

Campgrounds open 7 a.m.-close 10 p.m. Persons who arrive after the camping area is closed but stay on park premises overnight must pay the regular camping fee.
RESERVATIONS-Reservations are not accepted for campsites.
ELIGIBILITY-Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, or other youth groups are not eligible to occupy developed campsites in tent and trailer camping areas. Group camp and pioneer camping areas are available to such youth groups elsewhere in the Park system.
REGISTRATION -Registration and payment of the camping fee are required before setting up camp. Signs will direct visitors to the Registration Office.
A park map may be obtained from the Superintendent. Ask for one when registering. It will save time and mileage to know where activity areas and facilities are located.
AGE LIMIT-Campers under 18 years of age whether in developed camping areas or pioneer camping areas, must be accompanied by an adult who accepts responsibility for the camping party.
TIME LIMITS -Campers should obtain a permit to set up camp no later than 8 p.m. Check-out deadline is 5 p.m. Occupancy of a site at any one park is limited to 14 days.
OCCUPANCY LIMITATIONS- Only one family-size tent or trailer (maximum length 30 h.) is allowed per site. Pup tents-limit 2-may be used per site.
All campers using these facilities are confined to specified camping areas unless assigned to an overflow area by the Superintendent. Campgrounds will be closed aher all sites are filled. No camping is allowed except on designated sites.
No camping is allowed in picnic area.
OVERNIGHT ABSENCE- Any tent, trailer, or other personal property left on a campsite unoccupied or unattended overnight will be removed and the site made available to other campers even though the fee has been paid.
FACILITIES-At least one comfort station is located in each developed camping area. Conveniences include flush toilets, hot showers, wash basin, mirror, and electric outlets for shavers. In most parks, an automatic laundry also is available at this site.
Near each camp is a water faucet, grill, table and benches. In most parks, electricity also is provided but not always at each site. Where necessary, a raised tent pad has been constructed.

piONEER CAMpiNG
Open only to properly supervised groups. There is no charge for camping in Pioneer Camping

Areas, but a reservation is required. Only water and primitive-type sanitary facilities usually are available.
Boy Scouts must show the Superintendent their Tour Permit from the troop's Regional Council office. The Superintendent then will direct or escort the group to the camp.
Facilities in other areas of the park are available for use at regular fees or rates. (Exceptions: Cottages, Developed Camping Areas, and Group Camps.)
Recreational vehicles are not eligible to occupy pioneer camping areas.

RESERVATIONS-All applications must be made through the Park Superintendent.
ELIGIBILITY -Applications accepted only from organized groups with a camp director or official committee to maintain supervision over the camp.
FACILITIES -Sleeping quarters, kitchen, dining -assembly room, craft shops, activity field, swimming area.

Th e 54 parks in Geo rgi a's state pa rk sys tem encompass over 40,000 acres of great scen ic va ri ety. Th ey are well di stributed thr oughou t the Sta te- fr om the m ountai ns to th e sea-a nd convenien tly loca ted to princ ipal highways.
Park s are open on a year-round basis. Most fac iliti es are ava il abl e dur ing winter months except in fr eezing weather when water sys tems must be protected.

Park Hours : Open 7 a. m. -C lose 10 p.m. Pets: Dogs are the only pets al lowed in any Georg ia Sta te Park, and they must be kept on a leash at all times. Swimming areas, cottages and all o th er park buildings are c losed to them. Owners are responsible for the co nduct o f their pets and must c lean up after them. ROADSIDE PARKS
Roadside Parks or Rest Areas are administered and maintained by the Department of Transportation. Approximately 275 roadside parks are conveniently located along Georgia's principal highways. Travelers are invited to use the faciliti es for a picnic lunch, or just as a place to exercise and stretch away the weariness.
Camping is not allowed.

ALL ABOUT COTTAGES

All cottages and mobile homes are fully equipped for housekeeping with electric stove, refrigerator, cooking and serving facilities, linens and blankets.
Automatic central heat is found in al l new cottages, air conditioning in all facilities except mountain park cottages.
ELIGI BILITY-C ottages and mobile homes are not avai lab le to organized groups. Group camps and pioneer camping areas are available to such youth groups in other areas of the Parks system.
OCCUPANCY LIMITATION-No cottage or mobile home may be used to accommodate more than its stated capacity.
RES ERVATIONS-All reservations should be made through the individual Park Superintendent's office between the hours of 8:00A.M. and 8:00P.M .
One Week : Reservation requests accepted beginning January 1 each year.
Weekend : During June, July, August, reservations are not accepted until the Wednesday preceding the week end. Other months, accepted six months in advance.
One Night: Advance reservations are not accepted. One night occupancy is permitted only if a vacancy exists when the party arrives at the park .
DEPOSIT- No reservation can be considered firm until a deposit has been received and accepted by Superintendent. Amount required: New Cottage $12; Older Cottage $8; Mobile Homes $1 0; Three Bedroom $20.
Minimum 48-hour cancellation notice required for refund .
TIME HELD- No reservation wi ll be held after 4 p .m. of the second day and both reservation and deposit are then forfe ited unless the Superintendent has been notified of pending late arrival.
CHECK -OUT TIME -12 NOON. Additiona l 1-day rental fee charged after 12 NOON unless overtime has been permitted by Superintendent.
CHECK-IN TIME-4 p.m.
PETS- No pets are allowed in cottages or mobile homes. No kennels are avai lable at the parks.

NEW COTTAGES: $12 per day, $72 per week (2 persons); each additional person $2 per day, $12 per week (children under 12 years, $ 1 per day, $6 per week). $20 min. on 3 Bedrooms
OLDER COTTAGES: $8 per day, $48 per week (2 persons); each additional person $ 1 per day, $6 per week (Exception: John Tanner) .
MOBILE HOMES : $10 per day, $60 per week (2 persons); each additiona l person $ 1 per day, $6 per week.
OVERNIGHT ROOMS OR COTTAGES: (1 bedroom, no kitchen) $5 per day, $30 per week (2 persons).
Overnight rooms (4), located next to I nn, only at F. D. Roosevelt State Park; overnight cottages (2 ), only at Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park.
3% Georgia Sales Tax will be added to all bills.
