INTRODUCTION
This list supplements the 1956-57 printed Georgia Library List. Both lists should be consulted in selecting books.
In addition to the Georgia Library Lists, selections may be made from
the Standard Catalog 12 High School Libraries, the Children's Catalog, the Basic ~ Collection 12 High Schools, the Basic Book Collection 12 Junior
High Schools, and the Basic ~Collection!! Elementary Schools. The state cannot furnish these lists, but they may be purchased with library matching funds. Schools desiring to purchase the first two catalogs must write to
the H. w. Wilson Company, 950 University Avenue, New York City for a price quo-
tation. The price varies according to the size of the school, the smaller schools receiving a lower price. Titles may also be selected from the Readers Choice of ~ ~ section of the Wilson Library Bulletin, the A. L. A.
Booklist, the HIll ~ and the Library Journal or Junior Libraries. These pub-
lications appear on the Georgia Magazine List and may be purchased with matching funds. These are the only lists that have been approved by professional library committees as sources from which books purchased with school library matching funds can be selected. Publishers lists, catalogs or advertisements are not acceptable selection sources.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
The services of the Division of Instructional Materials and Library Service may be requested by anyone wishing help in the selection of books for libraries or advice about the organization and administration of libraries.
Requests for visits to libraries should be made to Mr. c. s. Hubbard, Director,
or Miss Sarah Jones, Chief Library Consultant, Division of Instructional Materials and Library Service.
