There have been so Jr.any requests for new titles, and books have gone out-of-print and out-of-stock so rapidly tl-:at it was decided that supple:1ents, issued at regular interv~d:::, might be more helpful to the schools than an annual printed list.

6. In this Supplement, as well as in the 1945 Supplement and the Wileon and

A.L.A. lists, ~ regular trade price, called the list price., is given.

30% From this price subtract a

discount for all except textbook and edu-

cational editions. These carry a 15% discount.

The price given in the 1943-1944 printed Georgia Library List and in the 1944 Supplement is a ~t price and the discount has already been deducted.

7. A check for one-third the amount of the order must accompany it.
a. To avoid confusion with public library orders, it should be clearly
indicated on the order sheet that tho books are for a school library.

9. Immediately upon receipt of a book order, or any part of it, tho invoice a.ccornpa.nying the shipment must be checked. lf it is correct, it must be signed and nniled immediately to the Department of Educa.tion. If it is incorrect, a. notation to tha.t effect nust bo made on tho invoice a.nd the invoice ma.ilod to the Department.

lO. If books a.ro not received within throe months from tho time tho order is phcod by tho Sta.to Department c,f Educn.ticn, the order will be cn.ncelled a.nd a substitute order sh0uld be rr.nde at once.
