January 22 1959 with appropriate cere
monies More than 10000 visitors rep
resenting most of the states and Canada

The new market adequately represents
Georgias agricultural progress up until
this time and for some time in the future0
Its location and construction are design
ed to offer complete marketing facilities
to Georgia farmers and produce buyers now
and for many years to come
Produce dealers and brokers on our new Atlanta State Farmers Mar
ket have ample storage refrigeration loading and unloading space
and every other facility necessary for rendering efficient and
economical services to their clients
Farmers sheds are designed to offer farm produce complete protec
tion from the weather to preserve the quality of fresh fruits and
vegetables before they enter the channels of trade
Nothing has been spared on the new market in our determination to
provide the best produce handling facility of its kind in the
worlda facility that will pay off in far easier and more
efficient marketing of perishable agricultural products
I extend a cordial invitation to produce buyers and other inter
ested people everywhere to inspect this fine new market and to
