PREFACE
This publication is a compilation of statistical data on poultry released by the Georgia Agricultural Statistics Service during 1999 with comparisons back to 1992. The publication is designed to aid data users throughout the poultry industry in analyzing historical data and to assist in projecting future trends in the industry.
A special thanks to the faithful, cooperating reporters, hatchery personnel, egg producers, feed dealers, the Poultry Improvement Association, the various trade associations and others who voluntarily take time from busy schedules to provide data to make this bulletin possible. Current poultry information is published by the Georgia Agricultural Statistics Service weekly in the Weekly Hatchery report and semi-monthly in the Georgia Farm Report. These two reports and others are available at our Internet homepage address http://www.nass.usda.gov/ga. Paper copies are available upon written request at the above address or by telephone at 706/546-2236.
