Dynamic risk assessment instrument Determines a probationer's risk level as standard or high Offenders are supervised based on the supervision standards for their assessed level
Probation Officer Sentencing Specialist (POSS) Designed to be a liaison between the Courts and the Department in an effort to keep Courts informed of available sentencing alternatives Located in each of the 49 judicial circuits Training is held quarterly to keep officers updated on sentencing alternatives and Georgia laws
COMMUNITY IMPACT PROGRAM (CIP) Collaboration between Probation and other local and state agencies Offers a pool of employment, education and treatment resources to assist the offenders; specifically those re-entering from prison Programs are located in Macon, Columbus, Atlanta and Augusta with the intent to expand to other Hot Spots
INTERVENTION PROGRAMS All programming delivered by GDC staff will be evidence-based Programming offered in Probation Offices and Day Reporting Centers Motivation for Change Moral Reconation Therapy MATRIX Early Recovery Skills and Relapse Prevention Anger Management Reentry Skill Building Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)/Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings

DESIGN GDC SENTENCING MODEL/ LEVERAGE SPECIALITY COURTS
Developed a sentencing model to assist staff and the Courts in their use of GDC community and secure alternatives
Become more involved in Accountability Courts throughout the State. Courts such as Drug, Mental Health, Veterans and Family courts
Georgia's Justice Reinvestment model relies heavily on Accountability courts
UTILIZE TECHNOLOGY TO IMPROVE EFFICIENCIES IN SUPERVISION AND ENHANCE PUBLIC SAFETY
Technology used to supervise 80,000+ lower risk level offenders Probation Reporting Contact Center (PRCC) Accountability of lower risk offenders Offender must call in each month to meet their probation compliance report If there is an issue, a live GDC Call Handler will transfer the call to the local Probation Office Allow Probation Officers to more effectively supervise higher risk offenders and protect the public Virtual office pilots conducted using teams of officer armed with smart phones, tablets and laptops to allow access to probationer information while in the field
