Georgia leads the South in producing softwood lumber, and is fourth in the nation in total lumber production, of which 25% is in hardwood. Georgia's
forests produce 72 % of America's sup-
ply of gum naval stores, and 50% of the total world's output. Georgia is also a leading state in pulpwood production, with deliveries on a year 'round basis. GEORGIA MINERALS - Over 40 important minerals are found in the state. Among the vital resources are included: CLAY, GRANITE, MARBLE, LIMESTONE, SAND, BAUXITE, MICA, LIME, TALC, IRON, BARITE, COAL, GOLD and SILVER.
