The fun does not end with that show. The weekend concert, with back-to-back performances by four bands each night, continues every Friday (with the exception of July 5) through Aug. 16, at Atlanta's downtown hot spot, Centennial Olympic Park. Concrete Blonde, Blues Traveler, Cracker, Better Than Ezra, They Might Be Giants, Sister Hazel, Edwin McCain and The Smithereens are just some of

Centennial Olympic Park is the Place to Be Fourth of July

Get into the patriotic spirit and prepare to have a blast when Centennial Olympic Park celebrates America's 226th birthday at the Park's Fourth of July Celebration.
This star-spangled tribute to our country will kick off with the 1.4 mile "Salute to America Parade" beginning at Centennial

Olympic Park at 1 p.m. This year's parade includes more than 100 sparkling floats, marching bands, giant helium-filled balloons and much more, making it the nation's largest Independence Day parade.
Beginning at 2:30 p.m., Centennial Olympic Park keeps the celebration going

with a daylong Independence Day bash. The Park will be packed with musical entertainment, street performers and activities the whole family will enjoy.
Saving the best for last, the fun-filled day will conclude with a 30-minute fireworks and special effects display set to music

Family Fun Days in Full Swing

FFOURTH SATURDAY FAMILY FUN DAYS are underway, bringing the whole family fun-filled days of entertainment and activities. If you missed April's Fun Day, "All About Art," you still have the opportunity to take advantage of the rest of the theme-oriented mini-festivals. Grab your children, a friend or a neighbor and head down to Centennial Olympic Park. Fourth Saturday Family Fun Days are the fourth Saturday of every month, May through September, from noon to 4 p.m. On any given Fourth Saturday Family Fun Day you are sure to find interactive activities for the kids

including theme-specific arts and crafts, street performers, musical entertainment and demonstrations by a variety of local organizations.

The Fourth Saturday Family Fun Day, "All About Art," featured everything from sculpting and painting to watching puppet shows and local organizations perform on stage, including the Atlanta Ballet's rendition of "Peter and the Wolf."

The crowd grooves to the music of 911. Come dance the night away every Wednesday from 5:30 - 8 p.m. at Centennial Olympic Park's Wednesday Wind Down.

If you could use a break in the middle of the week, head to Centennial Olympic Park for Wednesday Wind Down. The free concert series is held every Wednesday through Sept. 25 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the Park's Southern Company Amphitheater.
The concerts have already started, bringing headline entertainment to the stage and the crowd to its feet. Everything from jazz to reggae will be showcased throughout the summer, including music by Crystal Clear, Rene Marie and Dave Bass, and the Uptown Band.

Over half a million people flocked to Centennial Olympic Park last year for the "On the Bricks" concerts produced by Mad Booking. This year's series will again be produced by Mad Booking and is presented in conjunction with WSTR-Star 94 FM, Coca-Cola and Centennial Olympic Park.
