PBS Celebrates Musical Legends and Introduces
Eclectic Contemporary Performers with All-New Specials in March

GREATPERFO~CES
"James Taylor: One Man Band" Sunday, March 2, 8:30PM
He may have Carolina in his mind, but it's his hometown, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, to which the five-time Grammy winner returns for "James Taylor: One Man Band:' An intimate evening of anecdote and song, the telecast marks the singer-songwriter's return to an earlier, simpler style of performance, particularly in such favorites as "Fire and Rain:' "Carolina in My Mind" and "You've Got a Friend:'
"That's how 1started out - just the gu itar and a handful of songs: the beloved balladeer says. "It's great playing in a big band, but from time to time it's good to go back to the welL It's good to get back to basics and present the songs in their original form:'
And what songs they are. From 1965's "Something in the Way She Moves" ("It wasn't the first song I wrote, but it's the first presentable one. The ones before that were pretty awful:'), which inspired George Harrison's "Something: to "Mean Old Man" and "My Traveling Star" from the recent October Road, they are 14-carat reminders of the artistry and skill that continue to influence both composers and music lovers of all generations.

Matching Gifts help us stretch our programming dollars

Hundreds of companies show their support of public broadcasting by matching dollar for dollar (or more) the gifts that their employees make to public broadcasting stations. Many employers participate in Georgia, and nationally, including BellSouth, Coca-Cola and IBM Corporation. If you work for a company that matches their employee's gifts, you can join your fellow members of Georgia Public Broadcasting who take the extra step to support public broadcasting. It's as easy as 1-2-3!

1. Contact your Human Resources office for eligibility requirements and to obtain a Matching Gift Form.

2. Complete and sign the employee portion of the form.

3. Send the form to Georgia Public Broadcasting, Matching Gifts Office, 260 14th Street, NW,

Atlanta, GA 30318 Questions? Call the Matching Gifts Office at 1.877.472.7946.

Georgia Gazette Goes Daily

Regular listeners to GPB Radio have noticed that Georgia Gazette is now on every night at 6 PM , Monday through Friday. Georgia Gazette, which has aired statewide since 1994 as a weekly program, is now a dailysource for the Georgia news, arts and cultural coverage and commentary for which it has been known for the last 14 years. 'Gazette listeners know theyare going to get the top Georgia news, but you are also as likely to hear an essay about the legendaryGoat Man or a feature from Macon about the formative years of the Allman Brothers Band.
Georgia Gazette is driven by Host Rickey Bevington, ews Director Susanna Capelouto, and Line Producer Amanda Scott, who conduct a

Host Rickey Bevington
daily current events-tight wire act to produce the show. But Georgia Gazette could not exist without the news and long-form feature contributions of GPB Radio reporters and bureau chiefs from all around the state, such as Orlando Montoya from WSVH 91.1 in Savannah, Mary Ellen Cheatham at WACG 90.7 in Augusta, and Josephine Bennett at WMUM from 89.7 in

Macon. Like all daily shows, Georgia Gazette begins each day with some pieces in progress, the lead story for the day uncertain, and a big bundle of the nervous energy that comes with the obligation to produce compelling, entertaining content for our listeners by six o'clock.
Georgia Gazette airs between the conclusion of All Things Considered from NPR and the start of American Public Media's Marketplace. So the bar is set pretty high with regards to the quality expected. But our state is certainly worth the effort and worth the'coverage. So tune in at 6 PM each weekday and give a listen and let us know what you think about the new, daily Georgia Gazette.
