4 ANCHORAGE SUMMER 2019

PERSPECTIVE

GPA HANDLING MORE CARGO FASTER THAN EVER

IN FISCAL YEAR 2019, THE PORT OF

Savannah moved an unprecedented 4.5 million

TEUs across a single container terminal. No

other terminal in the nation can boast that

kind of productivity.

Already coming off a strong FY2018, the

GPA and our maritime logistics community grew

container trade in Savannah by 7.3 percent, or

GRIFFITH V. LYNCH, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

305,000 TEUs, in FY2019. We're able to achieve that kind of expansion
through the dedication of our employees

and partners to superior service, and the commitment of the Georgia

Ports Authority Board to invest in the infrastructure necessary to handle

future growth.

By mid-2020, Savannah's 10,000-foot dock will feature 36 ship-to-shore

cranes capable of handling up to 1,200 containers per hour, more than any

other single terminal in the U.S.

GPA will add 12 rubber-tired gantry cranes this year, bringing the fleet to

158. The Authority is also building four new container rows at the Port of

Savannah, increasing annual capacity by 400,000 TEUs to 5.8 million.

Garden City Terminal averages 24 hours from vessel to outgoing rail,

giving port users the reliable, prompt service necessary for just-in-time

inventory management. Our Mason Mega Rail project will extend that

service to even more customers throughout a Mid-American Arc of cities

ranging from Memphis to Chicago and the Ohio River Valley.

The first sections of new rail track are operational on the Mason Mega Rail

terminal, now 50 percent complete. Phase 1 of the $218 million project will

open by Spring of 2020. When Phase II opens in late 2020, the project will

double the Port of Savannah's rail lift capacity to 1 million containers per year.

At the Port of Brunswick, the single largest Roll-on/Roll-off facility in all

of North America, we've added 250 acres over the past three years, and

are currently repurposing 60 dockside acres to serve auto processing. This

will add capacity and aid the efficient loading and unloading of autos and

machinery units. Brunswick has another 400 acres available for expansion.

At Georgia's ports, strategic investments in cranes, truck gates, berths

and terminal capacity mean GPA is prepared to handle the growth of new

and existing customers for years to come.

Gold Cup Fresh Imports First Argentina Lemons Via Savannah

GOLD CUP FRESH, THE FIRST COMPANY TO MOVE cold-treated citrus via the Port of Savannah in 2015, has added lemons from Argentina to the list of fruits it moves through Georgia's deepwater container port. Edward Villar, who oversees logistics for Andean Sun Produce LLC doing business as Gold Cup Fresh -- said moving cargo through Savannah has helped the company become more efficient.
"It has helped us to reduce the delivery times of our products to our customers and consumers in comparison with other ports, due to speed at which Garden City Terminal releases loads to us, as well as the number of shipping lines that are reaching the Port of Savannah," Villar said, adding that, as growers of citrus, grapes and blueberries from the Southern Hemisphere, "Our goal is to deliver our fruit to our clients -- faster, fresher, and at competitive prices, cutting logistics costs."
The company expects to move 100 forty-foot containers of lemons into the U.S. Southeast during this year's citrus season via Garden City Terminal. Gold Cup Fresh produce crossing Savannah's docks will serve markets in North and South

Carolina, Florida, Georgia and parts of Texas and Pennsylvania. "Serving Southeastern markets for fresh produce through
Savannah reduces the time from farm to table by up to a week," said Georgia Ports Authority Chief Commercial Officer Cliff Pyron. "For consumers, that means fresher produce, while shorter overland routes allow cargo owners to save money on transportation."

JCB Wins Additional Orders for U.S. Army Construction Machines
JCB has received a $21 million addition to its current contract with the U.S. Army to manufacture High Mobility Engineer Excavators (HMEEs). The contract modification ensures HMEE production at JCB North America headquarters in Pooler, Ga., until 2021.
JCB and the Department of Defense are also in discussions about a new multi-year contract that will further extend HMEE production into the middle of the next decade.
JCB was awarded its first HMEE multi-year production contract in 2005. Subsequent contract extensions and international sales have boosted production to more than 1,000 machines.

Resin Carrier Chooses Savannah as Export Gateway

PLASTIC EXPRESS, A LEADER IN PLASTIC RESINS PACKAGING and transportation, has announced plans to expand operations with two new facilities creating 166 new jobs in the Savannah market.
Along with Capital Development Partners, the company is investing more than $172 million at the Port Logistics Center in Pooler, less than 10 miles from the Port of Savannah.
"We are excited that Plastic Express chose to expand their operations here in Georgia," said Georgia Governor Brian Kemp. "The company's impact will not only be felt in terms of job creation and investment, but they will be one of the top five export customers for the Georgia Ports Authority."
Headquartered in Industry, Calif., Plastic Express has trucking terminals, warehouse facilities, transloading docks, andpackaging plants across the country, including a bulk transload facility in Dalton, Ga. The company plans to be in the new facility by Oct. 1, 2019.
"This is a game-changer and makes Georgia a leader in the Southeast for the export of resins," said Georgia Ports Authority Executive Director Griff Lynch. "With growth accelerating in the American energy sector, Gulf-area refineries will require alternate export capacity, and the Port of Savannah stands ready to serve that need."
"We are very happy to plant our flag in Savannah," said Ray

Hufnagel, Plastic Express President and CEO. "Plastic Express has been searching for a strategic opportunity in every viable port location in the Southeast for a few years. The impressiveness of the Port of Savannah's operations along with Georgia's welcoming business climate has made Savannah the clear and obvious choice for us."
Trip Tollison, Savannah Economic Development Authority President and CEO, said the high-wage jobs associated with Plastic Express will have a positive impact on the local economy. "We look forward to a long relationship and watching them grow in Savannah."
Plastic Express will immediately become one of the largest export customers at the Port of Savannah, moving approximately 25,000 containers -- or nearly 50,000 twenty-foot equivalent container units -- each year. The company exports resin pellets and resin powders to Europe, North Africa, South America and Asia. Hufnagel said the raw materials are used to make items such as food storage containers and construction supplies.
Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson called the Plastic Express announcement "a fantastic win for our state."
"Georgia's logistics infrastructure is one of the state's greatest economic development assets and plays a critical role in creating jobs and investment opportunities in Georgia," Wilson said.

Savannah Adds Europe, Asia to Chilled Cargo Trade Lanes
Cargo owners see transit times reduced by five to seven days

PORT OF SAVANNAH, ALREADY THE BUSIEST SOUTHEAST terminal for refrigerated cargo, has added East-West routes to its chilled produce business, with new services on trade lanes to Europe and Asia.
"This is an exciting development that opens Savannah as a new option for growers around the world to reach the U.S. Southeast with greater speed and efficiency," said Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) Executive Director Griff Lynch. "Georgia's central location means shorter overland routes to inland markets, allowing time-sensitive cargo to reach customers faster, fresher and at lower cost."
Since the GPA's successful completion of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Southeast In-Transit Cold Treatment Pilot Program, the Port of Savannah now serves as a gateway for additional perishable products. Previously, Savannah was approved to receive cold-treated produce from Chile, Peru, Uruguay and

Argentina. In addition to now serving all South America, GPA adds origins such as Spain, Morocco, and Italy.
With its proximity to markets such as Atlanta and Memphis, the Port of Savannah is poised to become a hub for chilled produce. Advantages include its extensive infrastructure, central location in the U.S. Southeast, and its 35 weekly vessel calls from global shipping services.
"We've got kiwis on the water, and we are getting our first few containers in from Morocco now," said Ken Burke, vice president of client relations at PortFresh, a Savannah-based cold storage facility recently purchased by Americold. "We're gearing up to handle very heavy business starting with the summer citrus program from Chile and Peru, and for next season, the Spanish and Moroccan produce will really start to come online."
Burke said because of the faster delivery available via Savannah, time sensitive produce such as asparagus -- previously

16 ANCHORAGE SUMMER 2019

handled only as air cargo -- is now coming in via container. "Not only can we now handle produce that has undergone
cold treatment while in transit, Savannah also has a local facility certified to perform re-treatment should that prove necessary. Savannah is the only port in the Southeast to have all these service offerings and capabilities," said GPA Chief Commercial Officer Cliff Pyron. "Now shippers have more choices in serving their customers via Savannah from all over the globe. Total transit time is reduced by five to seven days by moving cargo through Savannah."
With nearly 3,300 plugs for refrigerated containers, the Port of Savannah features the most extensive on-terminal refrigerated cargo infrastructure on the U.S. East Coast, with ample capacity

to take on more refrigerated cargo. This month, the GPA will add another 360 chilled container slots.
Savannah's perishables portfolio currently includes imported blueberries, mangos, citrus, grapes, avocados, bananas, apples, pears, pineapples, plantains and plums.
Off terminal, private service providers are now serving the perishables market with chilled storage, packing and distribution. PortFresh currently provides 100,000 square feet for chilled produce, but Americold has announced its intention to build an additional facility with 37,000 pallet positions.

Americold
Enters Savannah Market

AMERICOLD REALTY TRUST -- THE WORLD'S LARGEST owner and operator of temperature controlled facilities and infrastructure, has acquired privately-held PortFresh Holdings, LLC ("PortFresh"), a leading temperature controlled operator servicing fresh produce trade primarily through the Port of Savannah. In connection with its acquisition of PortFresh, Americold plans to build a new 15 million cubic foot state-of-the art cold storage facility on adjacent land owned by PortFresh. The total cost of the acquisition, including approximately 163 acres of contiguous land, is approximately $35 million. The cost of the planned new build is expected to be between $55 to $65 million. Americold funded the acquisition with cash on hand and expects to fund the development from available capital resources.
"The Port of Savannah is one of the fastest growing ports in the United States and has seen increased traffic of temperature-

controlled trade. With this investment, Americold is fulfilling our customers' requests to expand into this growing market, which provides an efficient and cost effective solution to meet their import and export needs. We believe this development project represents a significant long term growth opportunity for the Company, as we continue to grow our scale and develop our partnership with the Port of Savannah," said Fred Boehler, President and Chief Executive Officer of Americold Realty Trust.
The planned new facility will feature 37,000 pallet positions, advanced blast freezing capabilities, and space and infrastructure to support refrigerated-containerized trade. Construction has begun on the new facility, with the opening expected to be in the first quarter of 2020.
The Port of Savannah imported 1.8 million twenty-foot equivalent units of containerized cargo in 2017, a 10.6 percent increase over 2016, making it the nation's fourth-busiest port,

18 ANCHORAGE SUMMER 2019

Atlanta-based Americold is a major temperature controlled warehousing and logistics service provider. The company handles frozen exports such as poultry, as well as chilled perishable produce.
as reported by the 2018 U.S. Ports Report from Descartes Datamyne. The port's Southern U.S. location, ocean carrier network and access to transportation channels, including to growing markets in South America and Europe, reduces transportation time compared to traditional ports of entry, which require additional trucking and transport. The Port of Savannah continues to expand and plans to increase its capacity from 5.5 to 8 million TEUs over the next 10 years.
"The Georgia Ports Authority is pleased to welcome Americold to the Savannah market," said GPA Executive Director Griff Lynch. "This announcement represents yet another expansion of Savannah's position as a hub for the handling of cold and chilled cargoes, and complements the port's continued on-terminal development of refrigerated cargo infrastructure."
Brian Kastick, PortFresh's Founder and CEO, has joined Americold with this acquisition and will help to grow the
Company's fresh produce business initiatives. "I am delighted to join the Americold platform at this exciting time. PortFresh has developed the import market for temperature controlled logistics in the Port of Savannah. I believe that Americold's brand, platform and operational expertise will enhance PortFresh's capabilities to serve both our existing and new customers," stated Kastick.
The returns for the development project and acquisition are consistent with the Company's stated return expectations for such projects upon stabilization.
ABOUT AMERICOLD
Americold is the world's largest owner and operator of temperature-controlled warehouses. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Americold owns and operates 156 temperature-controlled warehouses (as of September 30, 2018), with approximately 928 million refrigerated cubic feet of storage, in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Argentina. Americold's facilities are an integral component of the supply chain connecting food producers, processors, distributors and retailers to consumers.

OCEMA, Georgia Ports Authority, South Carolina Ports Authority Agree on South Atlantic Chassis Pool 2.0

THE OCEAN CARRIER EQUIPMENT Management Association (OCEMA), the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA), and the South Carolina Ports Authority (SCPA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a new South Atlantic Chassis Pool (SACP 2.0).
The SACP 2.0 will have 58,000 chassis and will ensure a continued interoperable chassis solution for the entire South Atlantic region. It is the largest integrated "grey" chassis pool in the U.S. The pool will be managed by Consolidated Chassis Management, LLC (CCM), a subsidiary of OCEMA. Under the MOU, SACP 2.0 has committed to improve the reliability of supply and quality of the chassis fleet to serve the growing volumes in the South Atlantic region.
The SACP 2.0 will implement a chassis upgrade program to transition the chassis fleet to radial tires, LED lights, and ABS. In addition, the MOU provides for reduced stress levels and an expedited system for adding additional equipment based on trade needs.
Under the new structure, CCM will work closely with the Ports, ocean carriers, railroads and pool stakeholders to

improve chassis forecasting capabilities. "The chassis industry is evolving and this is an effective bridge to achieving a longer term solution," said Georgia Ports Authority Chief Operating Officer Ed McCarthy. "At the end of the day this agreement is about providing our customers with a cost effective and efficient supply chain that eliminates choke points and increases velocity."
An SACP Operations Committee composed of the Ports, equipment contributors, and ocean carriers will oversee day-to-day operational issues affecting the Pool and provide input and recommendations to CCM. The largest contributors to the Pool are: TRAC Intermodal, DCLI, NACPC, and Flexi-Van Leasing.
OCEMA Chairman, Frank Grossi stated, "OCEMA, GPA, and SCPA have worked to develop a solution that best fits the needs of the region to improve chassis availability and quality, while not significantly increasing transportation costs. We believe this collaborative effort of OCEMA and the Ports will benefit the entire trade and strengthen a key link -- intermodal chassis -- in the supply chain."

The new OCEMA agreement will provide 58,000 truck chassis for drivers serving U.S. East Coast ports in the South Atlantic region.

COLORFUL
Footware Making Waves Overseas

Made-in-Georgia apparel relies on GPA to reach the world

A SURPRISING STATISTIC: More than 98 percent of footwear worn in America is manufactured outside the U.S. But one Georgia company is bucking that trend.
Since 1984, Okabashi and the Oka-B brand of flip flops and sandals have been manufactured in the small community of Buford -- an easy 40-mile drive up Interstate 85 from Atlanta.
"Buford has a proud history in shoemaking and leather goods, including tanneries," said Okabashi Vice President Kim Falkenhayn.
A large shoe factory operated in the town until 1941 and reopened to serve the military during World War II.
Today, Okabashi has revived the craft in Buford, occupying a 100,000-square-foot facility surrounded by trees -- its home since 1984. The shoemaker is a familyowned company committed to manufacturing in Georgia.
Okabashi Vice President Kim Falkenhayn, left, works closely with designer Elizabeth Miles, center, and Georgia sales representative Janine Kass in the product design room to produce a collection of shoes that ships from the Port of Savannah to customers around the world.

Okabashi shoes have garnered a loyal following, with more than 35 million pairs sold. Additionally, through various outreach efforts, the company has donated more than 100,000 pairs of shoes for disaster relief, veterans, and more.
One benefit of staying put in Georgia is the efficient supply chain logistics through the Port of Savannah for its growing export business, Falkenhayn said. "In my 10 years here, I have had the best experiences moving goods through the Savannah port. We often see delays through New York or ports on the West Coast. I have never had a substantial delay with anything coming through Savannah."

22 ANCHORAGE SUMMER 2019

Okabashi has a closed-loop recycling program to reduce the use of virgin materials in their sandals and flip-flops, and the average pair of shoes made by the company consists of 15 to 25 percent recycled material.

Auto volumes near 650,000 units

GPA handled nearly 650,000 vehicles in FY2019, including the export of Kia Telluride SUVs made in Georgia a new addition to the Port of Brunswick's portfolio.

At 1,200 acres, the Port of Savannah's Garden City Terminal is the largest single-operator terminal in the U.S. With 151 rubber-tired gantry cranes and 30 ship-to-shore cranes, the GPA completes nearly 20,000 container moves per day to vessel, truck and rail. (Georgia Ports Authority / Stephen B. Morton)
24 ANCHORAGE SUMMER 2019

The Mason Mega Rail terminal will double the Port of Savannah's rail lift capacity to 1 million containers per year.

THE PORT OF SAVANNAH MOVED A RECORD 4.5 MILLION twenty-foot equivalent container units in the fiscal year that ended June 30, an increase of more than 305,000 TEUs, or 7.3 percent.
"Our ports are firing on all cylinders," said Governor Brian Kemp. "This success is a testament to the men and women who work throughout our entire supply chain and make a difference for Georgia and the nation every day. Because of their commitment, our factories, farms and logistics providers are creating opportunity and prosperity in every corner of our state."

For the first time ever, GPA handled more than half a million container lifts to rail, growing that number by more than 79,725, or 18.3 percent. The 514,230 intermodal boxes constituted more than 20 percent of total containers, another record.
"The Authority's investment in the Mason Mega Rail project is coming just in time for our capacity to stay ahead of demand, ensuring the free flow of intermodal cargo," said Will McKnight, GPA's Board Chairman. "The first phase of the project will be complete this year, cutting rail transit time to Midwestern markets by 24 hours."
The Mason Mega Rail project, which will double Savannah's rail capacity and create the largest on-terminal intermodal facility in North America, is 50 percent complete. By 2021, the new facility will be able to handle 1 million containers per year.
"Our team on the terminal -- GPA employees, the International Longshoremen's Association, and our two Class 1 rail providers, CSX and Norfolk Southern -- are moving more freight faster and more efficiently than ever before in our history," said Griff Lynch, GPA's Executive Director. "Rail cargo is expanding at twice the rate of our overall container trade, reducing congestion on our highways and increasing Georgia's reach to a mid-American arc of cities, including Chicago, St. Louis and Columbus, Ohio."
At the Port of Brunswick, 613,680 autos and machinery units crossed the docks at Colonel's Island Terminal, GPA's main port for the import-export of cars, trucks and tractors. Roll-on/Roll-off cargo grew by 4 percent at Colonel's Island in FY2019.
"Brunswick's proximity to dealerships across the region, the ease of doing business in Georgia and the room to grow at Colonel's Island are a winning combination," Lynch said. "No other Ro/Ro port in the nation can match Brunswick's 400 acres of expansion space."
Ocean Terminal in Savannah added another 35,884 vehicles for a total of nearly 650,000 units moved through Georgia's ports.
At East River Terminal in Brunswick, terminal operator Logistec moved 1.2 million tons of bulk cargo in FY2019, an increase of 203,000 tons, or 20 percent. The improvement was largely associated with an increase in wood pellets, peanut pellets and perlite.

Seaboard Marine Launches New Savannah-Central America Route
Time-sensitive cargo to include cold-treated produce, seasonal apparel

The Seaboard Marine vessel, Atlantic, made its maiden voyage to the Port of Savannah Wednesday, May 8, 2019. The new Seaboard Marine service strengthens the Port of Savannah in its role as a chilled produce gateway.

SEABOARD MARINE IS NOW SERVING the Port of Savannah. The new shipping line customer supports Savannah's cold chain logistics system with one new service to Central America, and a second to Latin America and the Caribbean.
"In addition to serving Georgia's poultry growers, Seaboard is tapping into an expanding market for fresh produce imports via Garden City Terminal," said Georgia Ports Authority Executive Director Griff Lynch. "This is further proof that customers and carriers are discovering Savannah's competitive advantages for chilled cargo."
The ocean carrier's first service to Savannah links the Southeastern U.S. to northern Central America, with Georgia exports centered on frozen poultry and imports composed largely of perishables and apparel produced in Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Honduras.
Routing perishable goods through Savannah to serve the U.S. Southeast means produce reaches stores five to seven days sooner, for improved shelf

life and product quality. Georgia's central location means shorter overland routes to inland markets, allowing time-sensitive cargo to reach stores in less time, and at lower cost.
The chilled imports perfectly complement Georgia's frozen poultry export market, increasing efficiency for GPA's shipping line partners.
The initial Seaboard Marine service to Savannah, which started in May, features two vessels in a direct, all-water route, for an increase of 20,000 TEUs per year to Garden City Terminal's total vessel inventory.
"The new North Central American service and the addition of Port of Savannah is an ideal gateway," said Jose Concepcion, Seaboard Marine vice president for Central America. "We are excited about the opportunity to connect our brand of premium service forged over our 35year history in Central America to this new domestic port."
In June, Seaboard Marine began offering a second weekly service for both

northbound and southbound cargoes between Savannah and South America (Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru), South Central America (Costa Rica and Panama), and the Caribbean (Antigua, Aruba, Barbados, Bonaire, Curacao, the Dominican Republic, Grand Cayman, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Suriname and Trinidad). For this service, frozen poultry exports also forms the basis of the southbound trade, with chilled produce imports northbound.
"We are pleased to offer shippers fast and reliable service between Savannah and Latin America," said Piero Buitano, Seaboard Marine vice president for South America. "Adding Savannah to the company's service network not only enhances our ability to support customers with new and convenient transportation opportunities to key countries in South America, but also introduces our extraordinary level of customer service to a broader customer base."
The new services bring Savannah's weekly vessel calls to 37. This is equal to New York-New Jersey, for the most services on the U.S. East Coast.
"With increased exposure to these markets, the Port of Savannah is poised to become the gateway to South and Central America, providing new opportunities for trade to importers and exporters alike," Lynch said.

PROXIMITY TO PORT FUELS MIDDLE GEORGIA GROWTH

SITUATED SQUARELY IN THE HEARTLAND OF THE STATE, the Middle Georgia Region showcases the variety of industry, agriculture and quality of life that has helped make Georgia a magnet for growth.
Anchored by Macon-Bibb County, the region boasts direct interstate access between Atlanta and the dynamic Port of Savannah, facilitating both import and export ventures.
Indeed, Middle Georgia success stories feature companies across the globe -- from Embraer jets in Brazil to the Freudenberg Group in Germany, from Kumho Tire in South Korea to Japanese manufacturers Nichiha and YKK.
Fiscal 2018 was a busy year of economic growth for the entire region, according to Laura Mathis, executive director of the Middle Georgia Regional Commission, who said several factors contribute to the area's success story.
"We benefit today from planning and investment that happened decades ago with the development of the interstate system and rail network," Mathis said. "And developable land along the interstate corridor is still plentiful in the region, something that's very attractive to businesses that utilize the Port of Savannah."
Up-and-coming retailer Five Below, partnering with IDI Logistics to build in Monroe County, is the latest in a long line of warehouse/distribution facilities choosing to locate along the I-75 corridor, Mathis said, adding that the port is also critical to rural counties. "Wilkinson County, for example, is a leading

kaolin exporter and a very important customer of the ports." For Bibb County, Amazon was the most recent headliner
with a new fulfillment center relocating to Macon. Upon completion, the facility will create 500 full-time jobs, with up to 1,000 workers employed in peak season. Irving Consumer Products, a Canadian based company, will also be one of Macon-Bibb's newest industrial residents, bringing 200 new jobs and $400 million in private investment with its facial tissue manufacturing facility.
"We have been on a record-setting pace with regards to industrial growth in Macon-Bibb County over the last several years," said Robby Fountain, chairman of the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority. "Just in the last 26 months, we have generated over $800 million in new private investment from new and existing industries in all our target industrial sectors -- including aerospace, advanced manufacturing, logistics and food processing.
"This success can be directly attributed to the growth at the Port of Savannah."
Stephen Adams agreed. As executive director of the industrial authority, he pointed to the region's assets -- including job force, location and the Port of Savannah.
"Our proximity to the port is vital to our business operations," he said. "It's something that we include in all our marketing materials. That direct shot from I-16 into the port is a real asset."

OTHER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT HIGHLIGHTS IN THE MIDDLE GEORGIA REGION:

MIDDLE GEORGIA REGION

In Houston County, just south of Macon, Robins Air Force Base is the single largest industrial complex in Georgia, employing a workforce of over 25,584 civilian, contractor, and military members.
In Peach County, Pure Flavor, is building a 75-acre high-tech greenhouse outside of Fort Valley. Pure Flavor will also add over
200 new jobs once it is fully operational, while also providing new food production for the region.
Crawford County announced the creation of 30 new jobs with the location of Bradbury Logistics, LLC in the county's
small business incubator facility.
In Jefferson, Texas-based Academy Sports + Outdoors employs nearly 900 people in its 1.6 million-square-foot
Twiggs County Distribution Center.

Georgia's Regional Commissions (RC) function as the official regional and development organizations for local governments and citizens. Each Regional Commission Council creates policy direction for the area's short- and long-term comprehensive planning and serves as liaisons between regional communities and the state government.
