Over the year, employment in Georgia has declined by 213,600, or -4.6 percent. Leisure and hospitality (-86,300 jobs), government (-26,000 jobs), education and health services (-25,200 jobs), and professional and business services (-22,100 jobs) have lost the most jobs from February 2020 to February 2021.
Georgia's unemployment rate (seasonally adjusted) declined to 4.8 percent in February from 5.1 percent in January 2021. Over the year, the unemployment rate is up from 3.5 percent in February 2020.
