Over the year, employment in Georgia is up 42,800, or 0.9 percent. Education and Health Services (+25,000 jobs); Trade, Transportation, and Utilities (+12,000 jobs); Leisure and Hospitality (+3,900 jobs); and Construction (+3,200 jobs) added the most jobs over the year.
Georgia's unemployment rate (seasonally adjusted) increased to 4.2 percent in March from 3.1 percent in February. Over the year, the unemployment rate is up from 3.7 percent in March 2019.
