Administrative anEdchols Charlton Camden Georgia Unemployment Rate Support Services shed 600 jobs in March and cut 200 (Seasonally Adjusted) workers in February while Professional and Technical Services employment fell by 2,300 in March and was 4.2% down 1,000 in February. Management of Companies saw jobs grow for the fourth consecutive month with 900 added. Education and Health Services employment declined by 1,200 in March, its first over the month job loss in over two years. The Health Care and Social Assistance portion of the sector lost 700 jobs in March and 3.7% 3.6% 3.6% 3.5% 3.4% 3.3% 3.2% 3.2% 3.1% 3.1% 3.1% 3.1% the Educational Services portion lost 500. Construction employment grew by 1,100 in March after holding steady in February. Other Services, which includes repair shops, personal and laundry services, as well as religious and civic organizations, saw employment rise by 500 in March after the sector grew by 300 in February. Georgia's unemployment rate (seasonally adjusted) increased to 4.2 percent in March from 3.1 percent in February. Over the year, the unemployment rate is up from 3.7 percent in March 2019.
