In addition, discussions were also held regarding the current interfaces between GBI and DDS.
GEORGIA APPLICANT PROCESSING SERVICE (GAPS) PROJECT Project Description - The Georgia Crime Information Center Information Services is seeking to obtain the services of a qualified and experienced vendor to provide an applicant fingerprinting solution that will electronically capture and submit applicant fingerprints to the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). In addition, the selected vendor shall handle receiving fingerprint search results and disseminate the results to the requestor. GBI is in the process of replacing the current UCR summary-based system with an application that will collect incident-based data. Monthly Update - The vendor continues to apply fixes to address identified NIBRS issues/problems. Monthly Update - The AFIS vendor development for workflow and Rap Back functions is behind schedule due to delays in getting the environment fully set up and functional. The team is actively working on addressing the environmental deficiencies and completion is expected by end of November. Integration issues still pending from the three project vendors are sample mail messages, unified identification responses, rap back responses, IP Addresses from GBI and vendor test messages. SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY TOOL (SORT) ENHANCEMENT PROJECT Project Description - Continued enhancements to SORT application to meet the needs of local law enforcement and public.
