Georgia Authorized Central Storage (ACS) Program Update
https://gbi.georgia.gov/meth-container-program 3rd Quarter of FY2019 January 1 to March 31, 2019 ACS facility usage remained down for the second consecutive quarter. During the 3rd quarter, the processing and packaging of hazardous materials resulted in 5 hazardous waste containers with a total volume of 150 gallons. The weight of this hazardous waste was 60 pounds. All 9 Georgia ACS facilities were operational during the 3rd quarter. The ACS facility in Sumter County was emptied by a DEA Hazardous Waste Contractor. Replacement Air Monitors and Calibration Systems have been requested for all 9 equipment trailers in the Georgia ACS Program. Existing air monitors have been discontinued and are no longer supported by the manufacturer. A full program inspection will be conducted during the next quarter. This will be done to determine the condition and serviceability of existing equipment, trailers and hazardous waste containers. Any issues noted will be remedied via repair or replacement. An ACS Officer Certification Course is scheduled for April of 2019.

The two new interfaces will use existing LEMS Web Services capabilities with National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) Extensible Markup Language (XML) message formats. One interface will be used to send and receive vehicle registration queries and responses to and from DRIVES. The other interface will be used to receive stolen vehicle requests and responses to and from DRIVES.
Monthly Update - GBI continues to work with Unisys to provide support to DOR on converting from GRATIS to DRIVES. Unisys began working on development of XML Stylesheets and will be completed in early April. DRIVES GoLive is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend 05/23/2019 05/27/2018.

Georgia's Rap Back System will include the retention of applicant fingerprints, the implementation of an FBI Rap Back Subscription on such prints, and the creation of a validation process for authorized entities to manage such subscriptions.
Monthly Update The AFIS vendor provided GBI with an additional quote for management of Rapback subscriptions outside of GAPS.
