THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:
WHEREAS:
The State of Georgia holds title to, and the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice is the custodian of, approximately 5.03 acres ofimproved real property with an address of 2030 Newton Road, Albany, Georgia 31701, and located in Land Lot 361 of the 1st Dishict, Dougherty County, Georgia, (hereinafter the "Property''), as more fully described in that survey attached hereto as Exhibit "A", which is incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS: By Resolution from the Georgia Board of Juvenile Justice dated February 23, 2017, the Property was declared surplus; and
WHEREAS:
By Resolution dated August 2, 2018, the Technical College System of Georgia requested that custody of the Property be transferred from the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice to the Technical College System of Georgia to use as the site of a Criminal Justice Demonstration Center for Albany Technical College.
NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANI'TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN MEAS GoVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED:
That custody of the above-defined Property located in Dougherty County, Georgia be and the same is hereby transferred from the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice to the Technical College System of Georgia.
