Dear Editor: I would like for any readers that would to send
Mr. Roy Hardigree, Providence Health Care, P.O. Box 69, Warrenton 30828, a card for the holidays. I am nine years old and have Mr. Roy as my adopted grandparent through the "Adopt a Grandparent" program encouraged by the nursing home. He is 88 years old. He is a lonesome man, so please help me try and make this Christmas a happy one for him.

CRUNCHY MILK CHOCOLATE FUDGE "Everyone's holiday favorite"
1 11'A ounce package milk chocolate pieces 1 12-ounce jar extra crunchy peanut butter g 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
In top of double boiler, over hot water, melt chocolate pieces and peanut butter. Remove from heat; stir in con densed milk. Mix well. Spread fudge in an evenly waxed paper-lined 8" square pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge out, remove waxed paper and cut into 1" squares. Store loosely covered at room temperature. Makes IVt pounds.

Heat pear syrup, vinegar and cinnamon candies over low heat until candy melts. Cut each pear half into fourths, sim mer in syrup until reddened, about 15 minutes. Drain, place pears in a large clear bowl and top with grated cheese; chill. Serves 5.
