Judging Nature
Needs Priority
Somewhere, we mixed up our priorities. Maybe it was the war in Viet Nam distracting us. Maybe it was our determination to guarantee equal rights to all Americans. It could have been soaring inflation, the tense world situation or the energy shortage. Anyway, we forgot something just as important.
We forgot about the very stuff which makes it possible for Amer-
icans to worry and compete, live well and win. We forgot about the
This is Soil SteJ wardship Week in the United States. I It comes along onIce a year beginIning the fifth Sunday after Easter on Rogation Day. Each year there is a theme which is topical and relevant for the situation at the time. The theme for the 1980 observance is "Judgment of Nature". We will be judged by nature, one way or another. But, suppose we had been sensible

Onions, Onions Raising Livestock Proves

IN/lrnrnmm. .... Profitable for Ga. Youth

The sweet Georgia onions have arrived. When purchasing look for onions that have no signs of decay and no evidence of sprouting.
Because the onions are not cured, they must be separated and stored in a cool, dry place. A recommended method of storage is to place an onion in a nylon stocking, tie a knot, add another onion etc. Store in a cool, dry place.
Interest Grows

The tangible rewards of raising hogs and cattle were realized by many Future Farmers and 4-H'ers recently at the West Georgia livestock show. Prices paid for the top animals broke all records, especially the $10 per pound paid for the show's Grand Champion hoc
On the average, the 24 steers sold brought $1.03 per pound including the Grand Champion. In the swine division, the 18 hogs averaged $.96 per pound also including the Grand Champion.

THE MARKET BULLETIN

Wednesday, May 14,1980

Dear Editor:
We have been receiving and enjoying the BULLETIN for many years, but ... with postage and telephone calls so expensive, no one can waste them anymore. To me, when the price is not listed in ads, the item is too high and the seller knows this.
