Comparing monthly totals of the Hog Cholera Eradication Program, swine growers can see that outstanding progress is being made.

But now is the time to redouble efforts and to prevent new outbreaks.

Swine growers are paid indemnity for all hogs lost to cholera when cases are reported and confirmed.

VACCINATE: Protect swine herds by vaccinating against cholera.

WATCH: Watch herds closely for any signs of illness.

REPORT: Report illness or suspicion of cholera to the local veterinarian, county agent or Veterinary Division of the Georgia Department of Agriculture in Atlanta IMMEDIATELY.

DISPOSE: Be sure all dead hogs are buried or burned after disease has been confirmed.
