CORN EARWORM -- light infestations on peanuts throughout south Georgia. BEET ARMYWORM -- light infestations on peanuts in the above mentioned
area.
TRUCK CROP INSECTS
MEXICAN BEAN BEETLE -- moderate to heavy infestations on beans in south Georgia.
BEAN LEAF BEETLE -- light to moderate infestations on beans in the above mentioned area.
TOBACCO INSECTS
TOBACCO FLEA BEETLE -- moderate to heavy infestations on tobacco in south Georgia.
COTTON INSECTS
BOLL WEEVIL -- counts were made in 28 south Georgia cotton fields. Counts ranged from 0 to 88 per cent punctured squares, averaging 24 per cent.
BOLLWORM -- egg counts in the above mentioned fields ranged from 6 to 48 per 100 terminals, averaging 17 per 100 terminals. Larval (worm) counts ranged from 0 to 5 per 100 terminals, averaging 3 per 100 ter minals.
BEET ARMYWORM -- light infestations on cotton.
LIVESTOCK INSECTS
HORN FLY -- counts ranged from 20 - 400 per animal, averaging 80 in Guinnett County. A second herd counts ranged from 50 to 500, averag ing 140 per animal.
TABANIDS -- moderate infestations on the above mentioned herds.
INSECTS OF ORNAMENTALS
CORN EARWORM -- heavy infestation on Petunia in Gwinnett County.
