TRACTOR USED TO CONSTRUCT FARM BUILDINGS Ever think of using
a tractor to help construct a farm building? Engineers at the Texas Agricultural
Experiment Station have been doing research on a new method of construction
known as tilt-up concrete which uses tractor power for erecting low cost, perm-
anent building walls. Eight by eight foot wall panels four inches thick are poured
flat and then tilted into place. The entire erection procedure can be done by a
two-man crew and each panel can be set up in a matter of minutes. A 20 X 40 ft.
building like that shown above can be constructed for around $850 including the
cost of all materials and figuring your labor at $1.50 per hour.
