W.,.E. Blasingame, state entomologist,
has advised farmers that sweet potatoes
grown in cotton fields that have been
dusted with toxephene and/or BHC are

an impressive 100 percent- attendance

State-Mourns Passing
Of Two Young Farmers
It is not a general practice of the
Market. Bulletin to carry editorials
concerning the unfortumate passing
of persons connected with the states
agricultural industry but it was our
thinking that we could not publish
this edition of The Bulletin without
mentioning the tragic accident Jan.
1 that took the lives of two of fhe
finest farmers in our state.
William and Tom Breedlove, sons
of Thomas R. Breedlove Sr. of Mon-
roe were killed when a tattle truck
overturned. Tom Sr., was former
head of the PMA for Georgia and
both of his sons were well known
throughout the state. Both were ac-
tive in the family dairy operation and
Tom Jr. was generally considered by
many dairymen one of the best in-
formed men in the states dairy in-
dustry.
We join the thousands of other
friends of the Breedlove family in
mourning the unfortunate death of
these two fine young men. Georgias
agricultural industry will certainly
miss them in the days ahead.
