Ha attack on Pearl Harbor on December
7, 1941.

If the making of Hawaii a state can
be justified, then there is no reason why
each of the large Islands in the Philip-
pines should not be made a state. There is

no reason why Japan should not be divid- .

ed up and made into several states. There
is no reason why Korea should not be

made into two states and called North

Korea and South Korea: In short, when
Hawaii becomes a state we are on the
road to a contest with Russia for control
ofthe lands and peoples of the world.
We have already received into this
country so many millions of peoples of
racial strains who are incompetent of
self government that we are in danger
of finding curselves in a situation where
a dictatorial form of government will be

necessary to prevent chaos. Every state .

added, particularly those of Asiatic peo-
ples, will increase the necessity for a
dictatorial form of government. We may
soon find ourselves. in a position where
instead Sf controlling the world, the shoe

will be on the other foot and the world

will control us.
PUERTO RICANS

In recent years so many Puerto
Ricans have been brought into New York
that the Puerto Rican vote has become
the controlling factor in New York elec-
tions and they are rapidly pushing the
Italian out of control, even in the City of
New York. It has been a number of years
since the white Anglo-American vote has
been of any special consequence in elec-
tions in New York City. The Puerto
Rican vote, plus the American negro vote,
plus the Italian vote is in absolute controi
in New York City and is largely in
control of the election of the governor

-and U. S. Senator in the State of New

York.
THE BIG FIVE CONTROL ALL

VEALTH AND BUSINESS IN HAWAIL

Alexander and Baldwin, Ltd., Ameri-
ean Factors. Ltd., C. Brewer and Com-
pany, Ltd., Castle and Cooke, Ltd., and
Theo. H: Davies Company, Ltd. are
the Big Five in Hawaii. They are the

_ Hawaiian Wall Street farmers who,

with our U. S, Wall Street, control the
sugar supply of America and who were
powerful enough to put American sugar
cane and sugar beet producers out of
business so as to make room in the

. submarines were in control and were:
sinking all our ships it was impossible _

_ternationalists into our ports.

investments throughout the world.

American market for their imported

sugar.
_ This is why we had the sugar famine
during the war, because when Hitlers:

to get sugar from the Hawaiian and West
Indian plantations of the Wall Street In-

These are some more of the Interna-
tional financiers who have been powerful

enough in Washington to get our Congress,

to pledge your money and the blood of
your boys to defend and protect their

BLOOD ON OUR HANDS
The Hawaiian Islands were invaded
by a few white men, some of them mis-
sionaries with Bible who saw an oppor=
tunity to get rich and threw their Bibles

away. With the support of American

troops they overthrew the native govern-
ment and have enjoyed protection of the

American Army ever since in exploiting

the natives, the Phillipinos, the Japanese,
the Chinese, the Portuguese, and other

conglomery peoples. We have blood on ~
our hands. We simply acquired these Is-

lands by conquest from people who have
never done us any harm or who would
never have done anyone any harm.
WHY NOT OTHER STATES FOR
WALL STREET
If the Big Five 2,000 miles from this

continent are entitled to a state with just

as much representation in the U. 8.
Senate as New York or Georgia, then

why should we not create a state for] ==

General Motors at Detroit and give them
two U. S. Senators: Why should not Ford

have a state with two Senators. Why not.
give DuPent a half dozen states with
twelve Senators. One fact is incontrover-

tible. Big Internationalist money isin the
saddle in Washington. America.is a pawn .~~

in their hands. The millions of dollars
spent every election to elect a president,
a senate, congressmen and governors is
big money from big men with an ax to
grind. Are the people asleep? Are the

people helpless? Will the people forever

continue to furnish the tax money and
the blood while these Big Wall Street
Internationalists on the one hand and

Russia on the other gather the nations

together for another world war and
perhaps the last.

Defy Late Frosts to Sow
Seed of All Hardy Plan

pecs

Parships

SERRE

Swiss Chard

These hardy vegetables should be sown as soon as the g

is prepared.

The word hardy has several
meanings, but to a gardener
only one. It means capable of
surviving a frost. There are nu-
merous flowers and vegetables
which can be sown while frost is
still common, while others can-
not.

Hardiness or the lack of it,
therefore, determines the plant-
ing date for seed sown in the
garden. And the date when frost
is no, longer probable, is a key
date for garden planning. On the
average, planting in any area
begins thirty days before that
date. 4

So far as the hardy seeds are
concerned, it pays to sow them
as soon aS you can put the
ground in shape.

Vegetables which should be
sown early include peas, onion,
spinach, Swiss chard, New Zea-
land spinach, turnip, beet, car-
rot, parsnip, salsify, radish,
kohirabi, lettuce, endive.

Flowers which especially bene-
fit from an early start include
sweet peas, annual larkspur,
snapdragons, annual pinks, and
centaurea,

If the weather remains cold
and damp after the garden has
been prepared, some risk will
attend early sowing, not from
frost, but from moulds and fungi
which may attack the seed be-
fore they sprout. This danger is
lessened if the seed is disinfect-
ed. This requires a tiny pinch of

A home vegetable garden
should be at least 1,000 square
feet in area and should produce
an average of one pound of vege-
tables per square foot.

Even a beginning gardener
can equal this, provided he fer-
tilizes his mo and keep the

arden busy all summer through.

his requires that short season
erops, which mature quickly,
shall be followed with second, or
even third sowings. Before you
sow any: seed it is well to plan
how these vegetables are to be
grown, how much should be
planted at each sowing, and how
many sowings will be made.

Do not sow at one time more
than your family can use while
the crop remains in good condi-
tion, Sowing too much the first
time, means wasting much of
the harvest, while failure - to
make second, or third sowings,
will leave soil idle, and deprive
you of tasty dishes you might
have enjoyed later in the sea-

son.

In the table shown above, the
short ~ harvest vegetables are
shown, with the time it takes to
mature from seed, the time the
harvest lasts with the vegetables
in aot condition, the space
in the row requ! to produce

one serving for a family of four.

The ideal plan calls for

GEORGIA SWEETPOTATO GROWERS WATCH
OUT FOR BOOTLEG SWEETPOTATO PLANTS

Efforts are being made to bring into Georgia sweet-
potato plants and vine cuttings from weevil infested
counties in Florida. Special permits to-do this are being
refused by the Director, and any plants brought in from
Florida will be confiscated and destroyed by the Depart-
ments inspectors and all violators will be prosecuted to

The State and Federal Government agencies and the |
sweetpotato growers have spent over $500,000.00 in the
last five years in an effort to eradicate the weevil from
the State and we have reduced the infestations by 90 |
| percent in the last two years. -One of the surest ways to
get re-infestations started is by bringing in sweetpotato
| plants, slips, draws, and vine cuttings from Florida for
| planting in Georgia, as the whole peninsula of Florida is.
