aa great new y discovery. Science finds out
that in the land of the coconut and pine--

$f pole, nature is. producing vegetable
Fete in abundance, which is much cheaper
than the 4 percent of fat in the cows

~ milk. Immediately, science makes another |
: great discovery and that is that fats are
not bad for folks, if there is enough

ee in the fats. It is very bad for the
ladies to take 4 percent fat that the Lord
ae in the milk, but it is alright for them
to take 13 percent fat in the milk or

. ice cream imitation.

ee. BINGO

Immediately. newspaper advertise-
ments, with screaming headlines, tell of

great new discoveries such as Chil- zert.:

The largest department store in the
State that buys the most newspaper and
radio advertising, of any single business
in the State has Chil-zert for sale.

WHO'S WHO

One of the owners of this great depart-
ment store is the owner of a dairy busi-
ness in Buffalo, New York. He is. the
owner of Chil-zert. He has 13 percent

vegetable fats in imitation ice cream and -
he has larger size dresses for the ladies

to buy.. No doubt science will now find
that the Lord put the wrong kind of
fat in milk and that the kind of fat
which grows on trees is alright. I would
not doubt if dame fashion should find
that the ladies are more beautiful with

afew more pounds and larger dresges-

than they would have been before the
discovery.

I would not be too much surprised

SAGE they did not find out that fat does not
make a person fat anyway. I suspect
that they will discover that starches and
sugar are the real culprits, and that fat
was an innocent by-stander in the first
place. Of course, it will probably still
be bad to use the kind, of fat that God
put in the milk,

THE RASCALS

Just as this imitation ice cream with
13 percent of fat gets started, here comes
some coconut- headed Federal and State
officials and seize 1,900 gallons of it in
Louisiana, claiming it is mislabeled. This
puts the maufacturers of Chil-zert in
a terrible position, They will have to
call in their newspaper advertising writ-
ers and their radio talkathonics and de-
cide the vital issue, namely, whether to
continue to falk about the wonderful
benefits of fatless milk or whether to
talk about the greater benefits of milk-
less fats. They are in a bad situation.

}

In the meantime what an the poof
things do about ordering dresses fot
next year. What will dame fashion be
able to do about a look into the future,
Shall the fashions of coming years be
designed for ladies of milkless fats or
should they be designed for ladies whv.
consume fatless milk. -

THE DRUG, MAN

Perhaps after all there is a grand
utopian idea. Science must have been
asleep at the switch. Certainly. someong
should have thought of the grand idea

_ before now, that is to put all the elements

in the city reservoir and let the people
get it; whether they want it or not, in

their drinking water, If it is alright to

put a deadly poison like fluorine in the

drinking supply, why not put vitamins

and minerals in the water supply instead
of going to the drug store and buying
them and having to swallow pills and
capsules. The main benefit derived from
fluorine is that it is a disinfectant and
kills all bugs and germs. Germs are what
cause teeth to decay. Why not also put
some soap in the city water supply so we
would not have to bother about buying
soap to take a bath, One part of soap per
million in drinking water could not do
any more harm than one part in a million
of a deadly poison like fluorine. Per-

haps it would be a good idea to put a few

good laxatives in the water a few aspirin
or anacin tablets; and perhaps it would
be a good idea to put everything in the
city water supply, particularly if there
was enough profit to the manufacturers
and to the manufacturers of the ma-
chinery used in connction with all the
drinking water.

DOCTORS AND DENTISTS TO
FOREIGN COUNTRIES

With such a utopian arrangement w
could contribute all our doctors and
dentists to the education and enlight-
enment of the people dwelling in darkness
in foreign lands who have not yet dis-
covered that you only need enough con-
tamination in the drinking water to

eliminate the need for doctors and den- .

tists. It might be a good idea to think
about putting ice ream and ice cream
imitation in the water supply. Of course
you would waste about. 99/100 of all
these things down the drain, washing
streets, fighting fire and in commercial
plants, but what difference would that
make if there was enough profit te the
manufacturers, processors, and distribu-
tors.
